The Johns Creek Property is a natural treasure in Jackson County, North Carolina. Native hardwoods with secluded pockets of massive white oak grace the nearly 328 diverse acres. The property is bound to the Northeast by 200,000 acres of contiguous US Forest Service land, and it is possible to walk on public land to the Appalachian Trail, the Blue Ridge Parkway, or Mount Pisgah. At nearly 3600 feet of elevation, Brown Mountain is the highest point near the property and offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The hewn log cabin consists of 500 square feet surrounded by mountain views. There are 4 miles of trails on the tract, and 100s of miles of US Forest Service trails and roads nearby. Johns Creek, designated Wild Trout Waters, flows from US Forest Service and runs through the property. With private road access from Brown Mountain Drive, the Johns Creek Property has easy access to Judaculla Rock and East LaPorte River Access. Cherokee, NC, Bear Lake, and Lake Glenville are within 30 miles, and the Wayehutta OHV Trail system is an easy 25 minutes. The Sapphire Valley Ski Resort is only 26 miles away, and the Cataloochee Ski Area and Appalachian Trail are under an hour. Asheville is an hours ride, while Atlanta and Charlotte are a 3-hour drive and Knoxville is 130 miles. Western Carolina University, Cullowhee, NC is within 15 minutes.
